Mobile Maintenance Fitter
Field‑Based role – ideally located around Goole, Hull, Scunthorpe, Doncaster or Selby. Company vehicle provided.
We are looking for a Mobile Maintenance Fitter to join our Silo Maintenance team, supporting sites across the region. This varied and rewarding role involves maintaining, repairing and fault‑finding on silo and associated plant equipment, helping to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.
What you’ll be doing- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities on silo equipment and associated plant.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults using a structured approach.
- Working with motors, pumps, gearboxes and other mechanical equipment.
- Completing maintenance reports and documentation using mobile technology and digital systems.
- Maintaining tools and equipment in line with company procedures.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance performance targets.
- Building positive relationships with customers, site teams and colleagues.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety standards.
- Mechanical fitting, maintenance or engineering experience.
- Experience using hand and power tools safely.
- Fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working with motors, pumps and gearboxes.
- Basic electrical knowledge or experience (desirable).
- Understanding of plant isolation procedures (LOTOTO) (desirable).
- Good IT skills and confidence using tablets, mobile devices and digital systems.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Company vehicle provided.
