We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading vehicle logistics and automotive services company for an experienced HGV Technician to join their operation in Doncaster .
Our client operates within the automotive and vehicle logistics sector, providing a range of services to major vehicle manufacturers, dealerships and automotive businesses.
Due to continued demand, they are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their night-shift maintenance team.
The Role
As an HGV Technician , you will play an important role in keeping the company's commercial vehicle fleet safe, reliable and operational.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Carrying out MOT preparation and associated repairs where required
Using diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults
Ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard and remain roadworthy
Completing maintenance records and relevant documentation
Working safely and in line with company procedures and industry regulations
Supporting the wider workshop and operations team
Responding to vehicle defects and breakdown-related maintenance when required
Shift Patterns & Pay
4 Nights Per Week
18:00 06:30
Monday Friday Nights
18:00 03:00
About You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced HGV Technician with a strong background in commercial vehicle maintenance.
You should have:
Previous experience as an HGV / LGV Technician
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
Experience diagnosing and repairing HGVs or commercial vehicles
Good understanding of vehicle safety and roadworthiness
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A professional and reliable approach
Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent are desirable
