Shift: Monday to Thursday 6am - 2:15pm Friday 6am - 11:30am
Late

Shift: Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10:15pm, Friday 11:30am - 5:00pm

We are currently seeking

Mechanical Fittersto join a team at Doncaster This is a hands-on role focused on carrying outfitting, overhauls and associated mechanical repairson rail vehicles.

You will work as part of a skilled team, delivering high-quality mechanical work safely, efficiently and in line with engineering specifications.

• Carry out mandatory servicing and mechanical repairs on rail vehicle systems and components.
• Understand and work effectively with vehicle mechanical interfaces.
• Install, maintain and repair heavy mechanical components
• Carry out mechanical stripping down, re‑fitting and repair work to rail vehicles.

• Proven experience in a mechanical fitting, maintenance or overhaul environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and component repair.
• A flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Commitment to safe working practices.

• Previous experience within therail, automotive, plant or transferable heavy engineering industry.
• Experience working on large sub-assembly overhaul activities.
• NVQ Level 2/3
