Customer Service Rep, Bilingual
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager and the Toll Supervisor, the Toll Collector is responsible for executing daily tasks including providing outstanding quality customer service to those crossing via the Donna International Bridge, accurately collecting toll crossing fees, assisting in decision-making for complex transactions, and managing traffic control.

- Cultivate a positive and professional representation of the City of Donna.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures established by the department and the City of Donna.
- Collaborate effectively with subordinates to uphold the department's mission and objectives.
- Have knowledge of U.S. and Mexican currency.
- Accurately and swiftly calculate monetary change.
- Ensure customers receive the appropriate amount of change.
- Manage financial handling: cash management, transaction processing, and reconciliation of cash drawers.
- Precisely classify vehicles and collect toll amounts from commercial vehicles, motorists, and pedestrians.
- Provide receipts to customers.
- Evaluate crossing counts in relation to transaction data.
- Accurately complete the daily toll collections report, comment sheet, hourly counts, and daily reports.
- Work effectively in confined spaces for extended periods and perform strenuous and routine tasks.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality with all information obtained.
- Communicate effectively with directors, managers, and supervisors regarding bridge operations, personnel management, and potential issues.
- Reconcile cash balances and prepare precise cash deposits at the end of each shift.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
- Demonstrate punctuality for scheduled shifts, breaks, and lunches, and remain available for days, nights, weekends, holidays, city events, and on‑call rotation necessary shifts.

Education/Skills RequiredThe position requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. and a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in money handling, including cash management, transaction processing, and balancing cash drawers.
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.
The position requires a rotating shift schedule, varying hours including weekends and holidays, exposure to all weather conditions, standing or walking for extended periods on uneven surfaces, and duties such as bending, lifting, carrying, and walking. Employees are expected to fulfill other duties as needed to support departmental operations.
