SUMMARY:

Donna ISD is seeking innovative, instructional leaders to serve as potential principals at our elementary schools. Responsible for the implementation and evaluation of all instructional and programmatic activities. Work with district personnel to ensure that instructional programs result in high academic achievement for all students. The ideal candidates will demonstrate their experience and knowledge in building campus culture, as well as knowledge of curriculum, instructional practices, school improvement, social-emotional learning and supports, wellness and leadership development.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises and evaluates the performance of staff assigned to campus including assistant principal(s), teacher(s), counselor(s), librarian(s), instructional assistants, clerical support staff, and custodians.

EDUCATION AND/OR

EXPERIENCE:

Master's degree from accredited university

Three years' experience as a classroom teacher Three years' experience in administrative leadership

Three years' experience as a campus principal preferred

Fully certified

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate

Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System Appraiser (TTESS) Certified Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System Appraiser (TPESS)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Instructional Management

* Monitor instructional and managerial processes to ensure that program activities are related to program outcomes and use findings to take corrective

* Regularly consult the campus-level committee about planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation of campus education Include students and community representatives when appropriate.

* Provide instructional resources and materials to support teaching staff in accomplishing instructional

Personnel Management
