Operations Manager
WCI’s Assistant Project Manager supports Project Management and/or Field Operations by assisting with the technical and administrative aspects of managing commercial and institutional building and civil construction projects. This is a developmental role designed to help employees gain a deeper understanding of the construction process while building the management skills needed for advancement within the Waypoint organization.
The APM’S lead concern is to work closely with Project Management to deliver safe, high-quality, and cost-effective construction projects that meet contractual requirements, exceed expectations, and while supporting WCI’s commitment to integrity, accountability, and operational excellence.

- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Willingness and ability to travel to multiple jobsites within a designated geographic area
- Support project leadership throughout all phases of the project lifecycle
- Review, process, and track submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs
- Maintain accurate and organized project drawings and logs
- Assist with change order administration and cost tracking
- Develop, monitor, and communicate project schedules
- Prepare and maintain project reports using company and client systems
- Identify and help resolve issues to prevent delays or rework
- Ensure understanding and compliance with contract and legal requirements
- Participate in project meetings and maintain documentation
- Compile project closeout documents (O&Ms, as-builts, warranties, extra stock)
- Assist with constructability reviews, value engineering, and permitting
- Participate in professional development activities
- BS Degree in either Construction/Engineering/Architecture
- 3-5 years of related ‘General Contracting’ experience balancing multiple projects with a concentration in government/commercial sector
- Current OSHA 30, 1st Aid and CPR credentials

Preferred:- Experience with Federal or USACE projects

Proficiency with MS Office/Projects and current/existing PM software (Adobe/Auto Cad/Bluebeam/Red Team)
