Overview

Sellers & Associates is seeking two (2) Information Systems Technician (IT) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide technical, operational, and curriculum development support to Navy training modernization efforts. Candidates must possess deep fleet experience in Navy Information Systems Technician duties with demonstrated expertise in networking, communications, cybersecurity, and system administration. Preferred candidates will also have experience supporting curriculum development aligned to NAVEDTRA training standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network & System Administration: Build, configure, operate, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, servers, and enterprise computer systems in support of Navy IT environments.
  • Cybersecurity & COMSEC: Implement network security controls, conduct defensive cyber operations, and manage Communications Security (COMSEC) material and procedures.
  • Communications Systems Support: Operate and maintain RF and tactical communications systems, ensuring reliable and secure operational connectivity.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide tiered IT support, diagnose system/network issues, and restore full operational capability.
  • Documentation & End-User Training: Create technical documentation, maintain accurate logs and records, and provide training to personnel on IT systems and processes.
  • Curriculum SME Support: Validate the accuracy of IT-related training content and instructional materials against current fleet configuration, policies, doctrine, and technical data.
  • ISD/Training

    Collaboration:

    Work with Instructional Systems Designers and training analysts to translate operational IT tasks into curriculum objectives, assessments, and courseware content.
  • Governance & QA Alignment: Support NAVEDTRA-aligned QA processes, learning standards, and acceptance criteria for RRL/CLLC or Navy schoolhouse curriculum.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with Fleet SMEs, Learning Centers, TYCOMs, and system owners to ensure curriculum reflects current operational requirements and technology baselines.
Job Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Former U.S. Navy Information Systems Technician (IT) or equivalent IT operational experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in system administration, network operations, cybersecurity, and communications systems.
  • Experience providing technical SME support to training, curriculum development, instruction, or Fleet training modernization.
  • Familiarity with Navy training governance (NAVEDTRA, RRL, CLLC, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
Desired Qualifications
  • Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS) or instructor/curriculum development experience.
  • Experience with Front‑End Analysis (FEA), Job/Task Analysis (JTA/JCA), or training gap analysis.
