SUMMARY
The Manager of Operational Excellence will drive continuous improvement projects throughout the organization by utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, Kaizen, and other modern manufacturing methods. This position will create a high performing work environment by leading projects which improve all aspects of manufacturing including safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned with supervisor approval.
- Lead the site operational excellence team
- Identify opportunities for improvement and develop the improvement strategy.
- Lead continuous improvement activities relative to quality, productivity, working capital, 5S, and capital expansion.
- Utilizes DMAIC (Define Measure Analyze Improve Control) as necessary to address problems in the business
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste and improve overall process yields
- Train employees in operational excellence techniques

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- BA/BS degree in related field.
- Formal Lean, Six Sigma or OE certification. (Black Belt)
- 5-7 years of in-depth experience in continuous improvement and operational excellence
- 5-7 years of experience in six sigma and lean manufacturing
- Experience with in a manager role.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
- Strong skills with Minitab or other statistical analysis software.
