Overview
Obtaining and maintaining the appropriate Security Clearance is required to access the primary worksite. Obtaining Security Clearance can be a lengthy process and will be discussed during the initial interview. Everyone is encouraged to apply! CW staff will help throughout the entire process.

You don’t need any experience—we’ll teach you everything you need to know, like how to mow lawns, trim bushes, and spread mulch. Just bring a good attitude and be ready to learn.
A Day in the Life of a Landscaping Crew Member
- Start your day by checking in with your supervisor and team members.
- Review the day’s assignments, and load the truck with tools and equipment you’ll need.
- At the assigned location, you’ll:
- Mow large lawn areas, edge sidewalks and driveways, and trim around trees, fences, and other hard-to-reach spots.
- Focus on landscaping tasks like weeding flowerbeds, pruning shrubs and small trees, laying mulch, or planting seasonal flowers.
- Wrap up the job site by blowing off walkways, clearing debris, and ensuring a polished appearance.
- Reload tools, clean up the work area, and communicate any site notes or equipment issues to your crew leader.
- Return to the office to unload, clean up, and prep for the next day.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE on the job.
- Work well in a team and follow directions.
- Have a strong work ethic and take pride in doing the job right the first time.
- Willingness to learn new tasks.

- Work is performed outdoors in all weather, including heat, humidity, cold, wind, rain, and sun.
- Exposure to dirt, mud, grass, pollen, and dust.
- Potential contact with insects, small animals, or allergens.
- Occasional exposure to landscaping chemicals or fertilizers (PPE and training provided).
- Navigating uneven or sloped terrain while carrying tools.
- Loud noises from equipment and machinery.
- Must wear required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, high-visibility clothing when appropriate).
