A large construction company is hiring an experienced mechanic. This position requires traveling between jobsites to troubleshoot and repair down equipment. Schedule is Monday - Friday plus overtime.
Equipment You’ll Work On
- Cranes, excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, graders, dump trucks, and other hydraulically powered machinery.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical or electrical faults.
- Repair or rebuild pumps, cylinders, valves, motors, and diesel components.
- Perform preventive maintenance, hydraulic pressure and flow tests, and final equipment checks.
- Maintain service records and follow safety procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on heavy equipment repair experience, with strong diesel and hydraulic knowledge.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently in the field.
- Ability to read hydraulic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Certification in hydraulics or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and availability to travel between jobsites.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
