Light Fire is seeking a dedicated and energetic Team Captain to join our dynamic distribution warehouse team. This hands-on leadership support role is designed for someone who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in helping the team stay organized, efficient, and on track.
The Team Captain works closely with the Team Lead and management to support daily warehouse operations, reinforce processes, and serve as a go-to resource for the team on the floor. This role is ideal for a high-performing warehouse associate ready to take the next step in responsibility while remaining fully involved in day-to-day operations.
This position involves all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory and physical tasks such as lifting, kneeling, and pushing. If you enjoy being a reliable point of contact and contributing to a high-performing team, we’d love to hear from you.
Available Shift- Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
- Support the Team Lead and management with day-to-day warehouse operations and floor execution.
- Lead by example by maintaining high standards in productivity, accuracy, safety, and teamwork.
- Support quality control processes by confirming products meet company standards and orders are accurate prior to shipment.
- Actively participate in order picking, packing, and outbound shipping tasks to support daily volume and deadlines.
- Assist with warehouse replenishment, inventory consolidation, and proper product placement.
- Help train and support warehouse staff on picking accuracy, QC procedures, and outbound processes.
- Identify, document, and report inventory discrepancies using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Communicate issues related to damaged, slow-moving, or misplaced inventory to leadership.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, pushing, and standing for extended periods.
- Promote a positive, accountable, and efficient work environment on the warehouse floor.
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm.
- Flexibility to assist outside standard hours or weekends as business needs arise.
- Compensation will be discussed with the hiring manager and is commensurate with experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in a high-volume pick, pack, and ship distribution environment.
- Familiarity with WMS systems and inventory processes (cycle counts, product movement).
- Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and pushing.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Docs.
- Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and the ability to support and guide peers.
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills.
