Sprinkler Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions.
• Contact customer representatives and ascertain equipment/systems problems.
• Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications (wet—steel, copper, and CPVC; dry; pre‑action; deluge; and fire pumps).
• Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, and modification notices to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service with strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
• Work independently.

• 3–5 years of documented experience in the fire sprinkler service industry performing maintenance and repair on sprinkler systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
• Adhere to, implement, and follow all safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 70lb., and working in unusual and difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high‑lift equipment up to 60ft., working within ducts, crawl spaces, or above ceilings.
• Follow, read, and understand all safety requirements of the company and the customer.
• Preferred: NICET LevelII certification; backflow certification.

Hourly pay range: $21.63–$32.70, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
