Job Description

Our client is a growing construction equipment sales, rental, and service business in Doraville, GA. We are seeking to fill a hybrid role as a leader and anchor to their service division. Become a part of this family-owned and operated team who has built a growing business on premium equipment solutions and unmatched customer service. We need a dual-threat professional who is just as comfortable diagnosing a complex mechanical issue on a CAT machine as they are managing digital service orders and communicating with clients.

The Role

This is a full-time, on-site position where shop leadership meets high-level technical execution. You will bridge the gap between office administration and hands-on repair , ensuring their rental fleet and customer machinery stay in peak operating condition.

What You Will Do

  • Drive Service Operations: Take ownership of the service queue, manage digital work orders from start to finish, and maintain clear, customer-friendly communication.
  • Lead the Wrenching: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and execute major mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on heavy-duty construction equipment (with a heavy focus on CAT machinery).
  • Leverage Technology: Utilize computer-based diagnostic tools and shop management software to track parts, log service histories, and optimize shop efficiency.
  • Uphold Standards: Act as the lead technical expert on the floor, mentoring other technicians and ensuring every job meets our rigorous quality and safety standards.
Requirements

What We Look For

  • Deep Mechanical Expertise: A proven track record of troubleshooting and repairing heavy construction machinery under minimal supervision.
  • Tech-Savvy Mindset: Strong computer literacy with the ability to easily navigate diagnostic software and modern service tracking systems.
  • Service-First Attitude: A professional demeanor with the communication skills required to manage customer expectations and lead a team.
  • Credentials: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; formal certifications in heavy equipment mechanics are highly valued.
What Our Client Offers
  • Work with major equipment dealers in a tight-knit, family-owned business.
  • Work within a culture that rewards hard work, supports professional growth, and maintains an environment where your impact is recognized every day.
