Installation Technician, Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

What you will do- Install, service, and repair fire protection systems, including wet, dry, pre‑action, deluge and foam suppression systems, fire pumps and back‑flow devices.
- Execute the installation project plan: deliver equipment, forecast installation hours accurately, and secure all tools and equipment at the end of each work period.
- Apply judgment based on practice and precedence; allocate work as a team leader and bring changes, discrepancies, and coordination problems to the construction manager.
- Resolve problems by researching multiple alternatives.
- Maintain proper documentation for all work performed.
- Review project drawings to obtain all facts necessary to perform installation activities according to specifications.
- Work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer and/or job requirements.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform inspections as required.
- Apply judgment based on practice and precedence.
- May allocate work as a team leader.
- Frequently resolve problems through the research of multiple alternatives.
- Maintain proper documentation for all work performed.
- May review project drawings to obtain all facts necessary.
- Must be able to work alternative shifts or weekends.
- Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Minimum of 8 years of documented experience in the installation and service of fire sprinkler systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
- Read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Excellent communication skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers and team members.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
Hirring hourly range: $26–$35 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
