Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

Dorchester area
Salary: £32,000 - £33,000 + overtime + excellent benefits
Permanent | Full-time (40 hours per week)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a successful and growing facilities management organisation, supporting high-profile client contracts across the Dorchester area.
This is a mobile role where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality reactive and planned maintenance services, using your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues, complete repairs and ensure clients receive an exceptional service.
You will be working independently across a variety of sites, representing the business professionally while carrying out a broad range of maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities- Carrying out reactive and remedial maintenance works across client sites
- Diagnosing and resolving a wide range of building maintenance issues
- Completing repairs within agreed timescales and to a high standard
- Carrying out fabric maintenance tasks including carpentry, minor plumbing, tiling, wet trades and general building works
- Working closely with the helpdesk team to ensure an efficient response to customer requirements
- Completing risk assessments and ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with regulations
We are looking for a practical and reliable maintenance professional who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering excellent workmanship.
You will have:
- A recognised trade qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3)
- At least 3 years' experience working within a building maintenance environment
- Strong experience carrying out reactive maintenance and repairs
- A broad understanding of building systems and general maintenance tasks
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- A full UK driving licence
It would be advantageous if you have experience or qualifications in:
- Fire door inspections/FDIS or equivalent
- Fire compartmentation works
- Asbestos awareness (UKATA)
- IOSH Working Safely
- CSCS or similar health and safety qualifications
- PDA/mobile working systems
In return, you will receive:
- Salary of £32,000 - £33,000
