Plant Maintenance Manager

A global chemical manufacturing company with a major production site in Dordrecht, Netherlands, specializing in advanced materials and industrial chemicals. The site focuses on safe, reliable, and sustainable operations, supporting continuous improvement, asset reliability, process safety, and operational excellence in a high‑performance manufacturing environment.

We are seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Manager to lead asset care initiatives at our client’s plant in Dordrecht, Netherlands. The ideal candidate will oversee a team responsible for implementing best practices in maintenance and reliability, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring operational efficiency in line with safety and environmental standards.

• Lead a team of approximately 10 employees, including Maintenance Engineers, Reliability Engineers, and the Turnaround Coordinator.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve the Asset Care (Maintenance Excellence) program to meet global operational, environmental, and safety targets.
• Manage daily escalations related to corrective maintenance activities.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to asset reliability and maintenance outcomes.
• Communicate program status and improvements to stakeholders at all levels.
• Foster a high-performance work environment through team development, motivation, and leadership.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Over 10 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or turnaround management.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams of five or more.
• Strong knowledge of root cause analysis methods such as RCFA, FMEA, and 5‑Why analysis, as well as testing and condition monitoring technologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, fluent in Dutch and English.
• Solid understanding of Maintenance Excellence principles and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
