Job SummaryThe Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations across multiple entities. This role requires a highly detail-oriented and dependable professional who can maintain accurate financial records, support reporting processes, and ensure transactions are properly coded, organized, and reconciled.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Receivable- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Process vendor payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Apply incoming payments to the correct invoices and systems
- Review and code receipts, invoices, and transactions to the appropriate GL accounts and divisions
- Enter and maintain accurate financial data within accounting systems (e.g., Quick Books)
- Ensure all transactions are properly documented and categorized
- Perform bank, credit card, and inter-company reconciliations
- Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready financial records
- Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and supporting schedules
- Run financial reports and assist in preparing internal financial statements
- Support leadership with financial data and reporting needs
- Maintain organized digital records of invoices, receipts, and financial documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
- Handle sensitive financial information with integrity and confidentiality
- Uphold company standards for accuracy, organization, and financial integrity
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls
- Promote accountability, attention to detail, and consistency across all financial processes
- 1–4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting software
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GL coding, debits/credits, reconciliations)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
$50,000–$60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
