Job Summary

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations across multiple entities. This role requires a highly detail-oriented and dependable professional who can maintain accurate financial records, support reporting processes, and ensure transactions are properly coded, organized, and reconciled.

Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Process vendor payments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Apply incoming payments to the correct invoices and systems
Transaction Management & Data Entry
  • Review and code receipts, invoices, and transactions to the appropriate GL accounts and divisions
  • Enter and maintain accurate financial data within accounting systems (e.g., Quick Books)
  • Ensure all transactions are properly documented and categorized
  • Perform bank, credit card, and inter-company reconciliations
  • Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready financial records
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
Reporting & Month-End Support
  • Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and supporting schedules
  • Run financial reports and assist in preparing internal financial statements
  • Support leadership with financial data and reporting needs
Record Keeping & Organization
  • Maintain organized digital records of invoices, receipts, and financial documentation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
  • Handle sensitive financial information with integrity and confidentiality
Standards, Training, & Accountability
  • Uphold company standards for accuracy, organization, and financial integrity
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls
  • Promote accountability, attention to detail, and consistency across all financial processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1–4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting software
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (GL coding, debits/credits, reconciliations)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

$50,000–$60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
