Tax Manager – Affordable Housing

• Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects on time, within budget, and up to management standards
• Build impactful relationships with new and existing clients and maintain relationships with firm leadership
• Ensure accurate time and billing for self and team
• Develop working knowledge of clients’ businesses and complete assigned tasks by client deadlines
• Solicit new client relationships and participate in client and potential-client seminars
• Stay updated on tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards and apply new knowledge to engagements
• Collaborate with tax professionals across the firm to coordinate efforts and ensure effective tax-service delivery
• Hold self and direct reports accountable for developmental goals
• Mentor and coach junior team members
• Participate in training and professional development activities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field
• 4+ years of recent tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or IRS (Internal Revenue Service) Enrolled Agent Certification
• Experience working with Affordable Housing clients
• Master’s Degree in Taxation or relevant field (preferred/desired)
• Experience using GoSystems or CCH Axcess tax software (preferred)
• LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) knowledge and experience (preferred certification/qualification)

Demonstrates expertise in tax compliance and consulting, with a strong focus on client relationship management and mentoring junior team members. Proficient in applying tax laws and regulations while ensuring timely project delivery and accountability.
