The Pricing & Freight Analyst owns AMX's deal desk and RFP pricing process. Working directly with sales leadership, this person prices freight opportunities across spot, contract, and RFP channels and builds the internal reporting infrastructure the business needs to operate with clarity as it grows. This is a hands‑on, ownership role for someone who is comfortable working independently and wants to build something from the ground up.

What

You'll Do
  • Own the deal desk: price RFPs and freight opportunities in partnership with sales leadership, turning quotes around accurately and on time.
  • Build and maintain lane‑level pricing models using AMX load history, carrier cost inputs, and market data.
  • Track win/loss results on bids and use that data to continuously refine pricing.
  • Build AMX’s internal reporting infrastructure, starting with brokerage and expanding across divisions.
  • Create dashboards and reports that give leadership and branch teams visibility into margin, volume, rep performance, and carrier costs.
  • Pull and organize data from McLeod and other source systems; identify gaps and work with IT to address them.
  • Lead the evaluation and onboarding of automated spot‑bidding and RFP tooling, and own those vendor relationships ongoing.
What We're Looking For
  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort building pricing models and reports from scratch.
  • Prior experience in freight brokerage or logistics operations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with McLeod TMS or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Self‑starter who can work independently without a lot of structure handed to them.
First 90 Days
  • Deal desk is running and RFPs are being priced in partnership with Drake and the sales team.
  • Initial lane pricing model is built from AMX load history.
  • First brokerage dashboard is live and in use.
Growth
  • AMX is growing through acquisition and this role grows with it. The person who builds this function from scratch will have a clear path into a senior or lead role as the business scales.
