Construction Superintendent

Job Summary

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities for residential housing projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with plans, specifications, and local building codes. The Superintendent serves as the primary point of contact on the jobsite and works closely with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and homeowners as needed.

• Manage daily on-site construction operations for residential housing projects
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and trades
• Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Develop and maintain project schedules; proactively address delays or issues
• Enforce jobsite safety policies and OSHA requirements
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and cleanliness
• Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to project management
• Schedule and oversee inspections to ensure code compliance
• Review scopes of work and verify completed work before approvals or payments
• Maintain accurate jobsite documentation, reports, and logs
• Resolve field issues and manage change orders as needed

• 3+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably in residential or housing construction
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
• Proven leadership and subcontractor management skills
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with construction scheduling and reporting tools preferred
