Asphalt Plant Front End Loader Operator – Dothan, AL

The role involves safe and efficient operation of front end loaders for asphalt plant and road construction projects.

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Follow trenching and shoring standards.
• Keep time and material records.
• Maintain knowledge of aggregate sizes, classifications, and weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
• Travel from interstate highways to rural dirt roads from various locations.
• Meet physical requirements: lift up to 30 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel.

• At least two years experience operating a loader on road construction projects, in a quarry, or asphalt plant.
• Knowledge of equipment and its uses.
• Basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, multiplication).
• Basic measurement skills and ability to read a tape measure.
