Summary Of Duties
The Commercial HVAC Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating commercial HVAC projects and managing them through to successful completion. This role combines technical cost estimation with hands‑on project oversight, requiring strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities- Prepare cost estimates from concept through basic design for project bidding and planning purposes.
- Review cost records, ensure accurate allocation, and update organizational cost standards based on market conditions.
- Track market prices for construction materials, equipment, and labor to maintain competitive estimates.
- Review project documentation, visit sites, and gather data to determine scope and requirements.
- Select, measure, and analyze key metrics to prepare reliable forecasts and adjust estimates or schedules as needed.
- Conduct risk analysis and evaluate vendor/subcontractor offers, maintaining long‑term relationships with key partners.
- Create and present project and cost reports to executives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Develop and adjust project schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and make informed decisions to keep projects on track.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for cross‑functional teams to maintain workflow synergy.
- Perform quality control throughout project development to ensure compliance with standards.
- Be available for additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business management or related fields.
- Leadership experience.
- Professional Management Professional certification preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License to include active liability insurance.
- Successful completion of required criminal record and motor vehicle record background checks.
- Ability to pass a drug screening.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
- Ability to multitask.
- Moderate noise levels.
- Ability to operate office equipment such as fax, phones, computers.
- Ability to travel to construction, job and warehouse sites.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, management and clients.
