Asphalt Plant Front End Loader Operator -Dothan, AL

This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of various types of construction equipment. Must have at least two years experience operating a Loader either on road construction projects or in a quarry or an asphalt plant.

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain safe slopes on excavations and ensure proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor; familiar with trenching and shoring standards.
• Keep time and material records.
• Know aggregate sizes and classifications.
• Know weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
• Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations.
• Be able to lift up to 30 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit and kneel.
• Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying).
• Know basic measurements and how to read a tape measure.
