Agribusiness Broadcaster

Mid-West Family Madison seeks a motivated radio broadcaster and reporter for the growing Mid-West Farm Report Radio Network. This opportunity is for someone passionate about agriculture, reporting news, producing creative audio and visual show elements, and growing our statewide farm network. Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews to produce audio or visual news packages or podcasts.
• Edit audio packages and clips for the Mid-West Farm Report 5-6 show across 16 affiliate stations, The Farm radio stations in Madison and Eau Claire, and 137 market and news reports that air across 32 affiliate stations.
• Write articles for our daily e‑newsletter.
• Strategically promote stories and other activities across our social media platforms.
• Work with clients to produce podcasts, commercials, blogs, remotes, and other opportunities.
• Travel to various conferences to cover news stories and engage with our audience.
• Create production elements, such as entertaining liners or motivating promotional spots.

• An ideal candidate will have hands‑on knowledge of agribusiness and can relate to the needs of rural communities and businesses that serve agriculture. A strong work ethic is a must.
• Candidates with journalistic, on‑air, or promotions experience are preferred, but not required. A flexible schedule will be required.
• Be creative, imaginative, and possess good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects is critical.
• Be well‑versed in social media platforms to help grow our presence.
• Work with sales to develop unique strategies to serve clients and grow our reach.
