We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hematology/Oncology Physician to join a dynamic cancer care team in southeast Alabama. This position offers the opportunity to work in a comprehensive environment that supports both inpatient and outpatient care, with a strong emphasis on collaborative practice and patient-centered treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive Hematology and Oncology care in both clinical and hospital settings.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including radiation oncologists and surgical specialists, to ensure integrated patient care.
- Engage in tumor board discussions, participate in treatment planning, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Oversee infusion therapies and coordinate services with on-site radiation therapy.
- Maintain a Monday–Friday schedule, typically from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
- Participate in a shared call rotation, typically 1:4 with colleagues.
- Enjoy a convenient clinic location next to the Cancer Center, eliminating the need for travel between facilities.
- Access to an on-site infusion center featuring 21 infusion rooms.
- Benefit from dedicated oncology nursing support and a comprehensive multidisciplinary tumor board.
- Possess an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology.
- Hold or be eligible for a medical license in Alabama, along with DEA registration.
