Otolaryngologist, Academic Faculty with Leadership and Program Development Opportunities
USA Health — the region’s only academic health system — is expanding its Otolaryngology (ENT) services along the Gulf Coast to care for the unique needs of our community.

The Department of Surgery at the University of South Alabama Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine and USA Health are seeking an innovative and collaborative academic Otolaryngologist to help guide the strategic growth of a dynamic academic ENT division serving the vibrant Gulf Coast region. This Otolaryngologist, Academic Faculty position with leadership and program development opportunities is based in the coastal destination city of Mobile, Alabama.

With USA Health’s continued growth, investment in the new medical school, and commitment to developing an ENT residency program, this opportunity is ideal for an experienced candidate seeking more than a traditional faculty appointment.

This role addresses the increasing demand for ENT services (pediatric and adult) and offers the opportunity to contribute to departmental expansion while providing meaningful education and mentorship to residents and medical students.

The ideal candidate will have the autonomy to build a distinctive ENT practice and help shape the foundation for a future residency program. With mentorship from experienced USA Health ENT faculty and leadership, this physician will be positioned to assume a significant leadership role within five years, such as division director.
