Position
Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children is seeking two full‑time BC/BE pediatric hospitalists to join our team.
Responsibilities- Primary management of patients on the pediatric floor, covering an average daily census of 25‑30 patients.
- Consultation and collaboration with pediatric subspecialists.
- Care for newborns in the well‑baby nursery (no delivery attendance).
- Teaching family medicine residents and medical students from the University of Alabama—Birmingham.
- Working approximately 14 shifts per month on a full‑time schedule.
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Alabama.
- Full‑time commitment.

The hospital is a stand‑alone facility dedicated to caring for women, infants, children, and adolescents. It has a 16‑bed Pediatric ER, an 11‑bed PICU, and a 40‑bed Pediatric Inpatient Unit. A St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital clinic for pediatric hematology/oncology is also available.
