Job Overview

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to lead our established program at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL.

• Work‑Life Balance:
  Week on/week off schedule with call from home – 26 weeks off per year.
• Modern Facilities:
  Brand‑new 6‑bed pediatric suite opened in 2023, with plans to expand to 8 beds.

• Staffing Model: 2 Pediatric Hospitalists
• Schedule:
  
  Week on/week off, call from home
• Coverage Includes:
  • 6‑bed inpatient pediatric floor
  • ED consults
  • No nursery call or rounds — NICU coverage is separate
• Subspecialty Support:
  • Pediatric Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Cariology, and Pediatric Gastroenterology in town, but no inpatient coverage
  • Adult Orthopedics and Adult Surgery available for some toddlers and adolescents in the inpatient unit
  • Access to UAB subspecialists consults by phone
• Academic Opportunities:
  • Collaborate with the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Engage with a growing GME program at Southeast Health

• Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Previous leadership experience preferred
