Middle School Science; Teacher at Section High School

Jackson County School District invites applicants for the position of Middle School Science Teacher (Grades 6-8) at Section High School.

• Establish objectives and plan learning experiences based on individual and class needs.
• Implement activities using various techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives.
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve an atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Exhibit positive human relations skills.
• Evaluate the educational program and/or student progress.
• Communicate with parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups.
• Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication.
• Maintain and submit required records and reports.
• Adhere to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy, and federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Plan and accomplish personal professional growth and demonstrate professional ethics and leadership.
• Model the student dress code by example.
• Update grades, attendance, and lesson plans in a timely manner.
• Perform any other essential functions assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.

• B.S. degree with proper State of Alabama Certification.
