Sartorius has a field‑based role for a Field Service Engineer covering the Great Lakes Territory. Ideal candidate will reside in either Chicago, IL or Southern Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the desired customer service experience, driving service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability.

What You Will Accomplish Together With Us
  • Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
  • Tie workflow to schedule
  • Manage all on‑site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports
  • Document processes
  • Operate vehicle safely and use field automation systems
  • Follow all company’s field procedures and protocols
  • Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
  • Build positive relationships with customers
What Will Convince Us
  • Associate’s degree or High School Degree/GED with Technical certification
  • 2+ years proven field service experience, including experience with the calibration of balances and moisture analyzers
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
