Piper Companies is looking for a Biomechanical Engineer I to join a federal research support company located in Dale County, Alabama.
Responsibilities- Supporting the design, preparation, execution, and analysis of injury biomechanics RDT&E studies
- Assisting with laboratory and field experimentation, including data acquisition, instrumentation, and analysis
- Providing engineering, analytical, and problem‑solving support related to biomechanical, kinematic, and physiologic research
- Conducting hands‑on PMHS and volunteer research while supporting SOP development, safety compliance, and documentation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an ABET‑accredited program
- Knowledge of mechanical design, biomedical experimentation, data acquisition, and analysis
- Experience with programming, experimental testing, instrumentation, kinematic analysis, video motion capture, and MATLAB
Rate Range: $33-38/hr, depending on experience
