Salary: $74,172.80 - $ Annually

Alternate Salary Range: $81,910.40 - $

This position performs engineering functions in support of the design, construction, operation and maintenance of city infrastructure.

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
• Two (1) years of recent responsible engineering design experience with a public or private utility and/or a technical civil engineering consulting firm preferred.
• Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Alabama preferred.
• Accreditation through an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education (CHEA).
• Valid driver license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to report to his/her regular workstation within 30 minutes of notification for emergency or standby duties, and to be available by phone within 30 days of employment.
• Subject to background investigations (criminal, credit, past employment, reference checks) and drug/alcohol testing in accordance with City of Dothan policy.
• Meet the City of Dothan’s employment physical standard.
