What You Will Do- Develop and maintain relationships with electrical and associated sub‑system subcontractors to build a reliable nationwide network of partners to support Caddell in the successful pursuit and construction of projects.
- Review and understand electrical and associated sub‑system requirements within government RFPs/bid documents for either bid‑build or design‑build projects.
- Manage schedules and priorities to meet various bid dates and deadlines.
- Develop budgetary estimates for both bid‑build and design‑build projects.
- For design‑build projects, provide pre‑bid engagement with the design team to collaborate on the most cost‑effective design and equipment that complies with RFP requirements.
- Coordinate bid solicitations for electrical and associated systems subcontractors and vendors.
- Maintain engagement with subcontractors during the bid process to ensure adequate competition.
- Receive and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes on bid day; coordinate with the Senior Estimator to determine the proper scope and budget carried in the estimate.
- Develop and negotiate project‑specific scope for subcontracts.
- Provide post‑award engagement with the design team on design‑build projects to ensure design aligns with the project budget.
- Ensure selected electrical subcontractor is engaged with the designer during the design process.
- Develop historical cost data.
- Assemble bid documentation.
- Attend pre‑bid meetings/site visits as needed.
- Working Conditions – Office setting, no travel required, full‑time.
- Reporting Structure – Senior Estimator.

Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skills; excellent technical and management skills; demonstrated ability to manage costs and control schedule; excellent organizational skills; strong Microsoft Office suite knowledge; ability to communicate and work with multinational and multi‑disciplined employees.
Education and ExperienceMinimum high school diploma or GED and ten years of construction management experience required. A four‑year degree in building science, construction management, or engineering, and seven plus years of estimating and/or managing projects similar to governmental DoD or correctional‑type projects is preferred.
Security ClearanceCurrent clearance, or the ability to obtain, a Department of Defense minimum secret security clearance is required; U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance is required.
CompensationSalary range typically between $69,900 and $104,900 annually. Applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process.
