Accounts Receivable Accountant

Mesa seeks an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant who will create invoices, enter cash receipts and work to collect past due invoices and other related activities. This position requires a self-starter capable of research and analysis utilizing a high degree of initiative, discretion, diplomacy, professionalism, and accuracy.

• Minimum of an Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1 to 5 years of experience

• Responsible for invoicing customers, as assigned by AR Manager, after projects/contracts have been reviewed for billing information.
• Work with Project Controls and Project Managers to ensure proper billing rates and rules are used per contract and/or customer.
• Responsible for AR collections, including monthly communications with customers on outstanding invoices, and monthly reporting to AR Manager.
• Post cash receipts and evaluate payment discrepancies.
• Analyze and resolve unbilled costs and provide reporting on these to AR Manager or Director of Finance.
• Responsible to understand contract administration with respect to invoicing requirements.
• Conduct research and analysis utilizing a high degree of initiative, discretion, diplomacy, professionalism, accuracy, and knowledge of protocol.
• Apply understanding of Mesa’s goals and priorities in all activities and in accomplishing all responsibilities.
• Coordinate requests from AR Manager and Director of Finance.
• Other duties as assigned.
