In-Home Caregiver

At First Light Home Care of Dothan, our caregivers do more than assist — they care with purpose. For over 14 years, our team has provided compassionate, dependable home care that allows seniors and adults to remain safe, comfortable, and supported in their homes.

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to clients in their homes
• Assist with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Encourage light activity and mobility when appropriate
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist with light housekeeping related to client care
• Transport clients to appointments or social activities when required
• Build trusting, respectful relationships with clients and their families

This role involves active caregiving. We support clients with varying levels of need, including dementia care and bed-bound care. If you are looking for sitter-only work, this position may not be the right fit.

• Perfect Attendance / Sign On Bonus: $50 biweekly for your first 4 months

• Fulltime and parttime opportunities available
• This position requires daytime availability between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Availability within this time frame is required; shifts within this time frame vary by client and may change as care needs evolve.
• Every other weekend availability is required
• Holidays are required as needed, dependent upon client needs

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor
