Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Alabama, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and proficiency with cardiac drips.

• Active Alabama RN license or compact RN license currently in hand or already applied for; pending license accepted
• Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Proficiency with cardiac drips (cardizem, tridil, amiodarone) required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Must reside more than 90 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

• Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit with orthopedic focus and Med/Surg telemetry overflow
• Patient ratio of 1:6–1:7
• Cardiac drip management required at times, including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone
• Day shift schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:00
• Block scheduling may be accommodated
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff at this facility are ineligible to apply for 10 years following their departure
• Navy blue scrubs required
