The Director of Radiology/Chief Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing high quality patient care and displaying good skills in assessment. Under the direction of a Radiologist, with limited supervision and broad general direction, the Chief Radiologic Technologist performs administrative duties of supervision within the department. The CRT is responsible for directing departmental activities, technologist staff and ancillary personnel. Additionally, he/she is responsible for functioning well as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements- 1. Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training and meets the requirements for registry by the ARRT.
- 2. Minimum five (5) years experience as a staff technologist, and possesses capabilities as determined to be adequate by department head.
- 3. ARRT Registered.
- 4. Interpersonal skills- including customer relations, grammar, reading, and organizational skills.

Physical requirements:
Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, lift, balance, sit, kneel, hear, reach, pull, talk, see, turn, carry, push, handle and write. The degree to which any of these is done depends on the job. This job requires you to reach above head, push/pull 15 lbs, lift/carry up to 100 lbs, and lift from floor and waist level. - 6. Computer skills.
- 7. Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- 8. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- 9. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- 10. Able to make decisions under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and manage stress, anger, potential violence of others appropriately.
