Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Join our team as a Speech‑Language Pathologist in Dothan, AL at a skilled nursing facility. Provide evaluation and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders in a post‑acute care setting. This opportunity is for a temporary or permanent SLP with a guaranteed 35 hours per week.

• Master’s Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent experience.
• Active Alabama state SLP license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.
• Experience working in skilled nursing or long‑term care settings preferred.
• Experience with dysphagia management, modified barium swallow studies, and common geriatric diagnoses preferred.

• Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities or post‑acute care environments.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records used in long‑term care settings.
• Strong documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills.

• Guaranteed 35 hours per week.

Provide skilled speech‑language services to support functional communication, cognition, and swallowing safety for residents in a skilled nursing environment. Collaborate with nursing and therapy colleagues to develop and implement individualized care plans. Maintain accurate documentation to support quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.

Dothan is located in southeastern Alabama near the Florida panhandle and offers a mix of small‑city amenities and regional access. The city is approximately a 30–60 minute drive to several Gulf Coast beaches and is near landmarks such as Landmark Park and the Dothan Opera House.
