Join our team as a Crisis Response Clinician, where you’ll provide timely, compassionate behavioral health interventions to individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. The goal of this role is to reduce trauma, promote stabilization, connect individuals with appropriate resources, and help prevent unnecessary emergency department visits or psychiatric hospitalizations.

As part of the Mobile Crisis Team, you’ll serve individuals within a designated geographic area regardless of age or ability to pay. You’ll assess crisis situations, provide telehealth and in-person interventions, develop safety plans, coordinate care, and connect individuals to ongoing behavioral health and community resources. • Triage incoming crisis calls and assess the clinical severity and immediate needs of individuals experiencing a crisis.
• Determine whether a crisis meets the clinical criteria for an in-person mobile crisis response.
• Utilize telehealth technology to assess and support individuals experiencing less acute crisis situations.
• Respond to qualifying in-person crisis situations within sixty (60) minutes of the initial request.
• Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and determine appropriate interventions based on the individual's needs and level of risk.
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, stabilization, and emotional support to individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies.
• Develop and implement individualized safety plans and reinforce healthy coping strategies.
• Connect individuals to appropriate behavioral health, substance use, medical, and community-based resources.
• Coordinate evaluations with psychiatric and primary care providers when clinically appropriate.
• Follow up with individuals who contact the after-hours crisis line to promote continuity of care and connection to appropriate treatment services.
• Collaborate with Care Coordination teams to ensure individuals receiving crisis services are connected to ongoing care and additional supports.
• Complete risk assessments and safety planning for high-risk individuals participating in the Zero Suicide Pathway.
• Complete weekly Zero Suicide Pathway contacts for individuals assigned to the crisis clinician caseload.
• Monitor client needs and identify when a higher level of care or additional intervention may be necessary.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically appropriate documentation of crisis contacts, assessments, interventions, referrals, and follow-up activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external community partners to support continuity of care.
• Promote a professional team environment through open communication, collaboration, and recognition of team strengths.
• Participate in required meetings, training, supervision, and professional development activities.
