Guest Experience Host - Front-of-House

Nick's Cove Restaurant, Oyster Bar & Cottages is a family owned business established in the town of Marshall, California. Located on Tomales Bay, guests will enjoy beautiful views of the bay’s California Coast nature preserve and oyster beds. We pride ourselves in providing a welcoming, warm and friendly atmosphere to our guests.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic entry level Host/Hostess for Nick's Cove to coordinate our front-of-house activities, create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, and ensure they have an enjoyable dining experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet guests upon arrival, maintain timely seating of guests, and assigning tables according to their preference/needs
• Show guests to tables, providing menus, and informing them about beverage/dessert specials
• Answer telephone calls to the restaurant, respond to inquiries, and take accurate reservations
• Check-in guests, adhere to parking protocols, and provide general assistance as needed
• Provide general restaurant information and customer service as needed

• Ability to multi-task and flexibly respond to a variety of requests
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Seasoned problem solving abilities
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a professional appearance

• Previous Front Desk or Customer Service experience
• Prior reservation experience
• Technology skills - knowledge of POS systems & cell phones
• Knowledge of Restaurant/Food/Beverage industry
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
