Job Summary

As a Benefits Analyst II, you will coordinate, administer, and monitor benefit programs including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, time‑off plans, and wellness programs. This role focuses on operational execution, vendor oversight, data analysis, and compliance support to drive accuracy, regulatory alignment, and a positive employee experience.

What You Will Do
  • Coordinate and support the administration of employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FSA/HSA, employee assistance, leave of absence, COBRA, retiree programs, 401(k)).
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data on benefit utilization, cost trends, and market comparisons to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform detailed data validation and reconciliation across vendors and systems to identify discrepancies, root causes, and operational risks.
  • Support leadership and compliance needs through ad‑hoc and recurring reporting on benefits operations.
  • Assist with plan compliance, including audits, disclosure reporting, and discrimination testing.
  • Stay abreast of legislative, legal, and regulatory developments related to employee benefits.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing data, validating results, responding to findings, and coordinating with vendors.
  • Assist in the development, preparation, and delivery of employee education and communication on benefit plan options.
  • Facilitate the implementation of benefits programs, plans, and initiatives to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
  • Ensure benefit administration system configuration is accurate and lead annual enrollment or benefit changes configuration and testing.
  • Partner with vendors to handle day‑to‑day relationship, queries, and issues.
  • Conduct assessments of current and future vendor relationships to ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Provide Tier‑3 support for complex benefits issues, including research, vendor coordination, and escalation management.
  • Maintain knowledge of benefits regulations, vendor processes, and industry practices to support accurate administration and compliance.
  • Perform additional duties that support company values and customer service.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in human resources, business administration, or a related area.
Preferred / Required Experience
  • Minimum four (4) years of human resources experience, with exposure to retirement programs, health and welfare programs, or a similar analytical role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to perform accurate in‑depth analysis.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify, obtain, and use information from a variety of sources to benefit business decisions.
  • Proficiency with computer software programs (e.g., e‑mail, word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools).
  • Previous HRMS experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive workplace.

Compensation

Pay Range: $72,000–$93,000 per year. The final salary offered will depend on various factors including responsibilities, experience, skill set, internal pay equity, and other qualifications.
