Payroll and HR Operations Specialist

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support payroll, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and general HR operations in this direct hire role. In this position you will work for an area small business to handle all things HR and payroll. Applying candidates should have a background in payroll, recruiting, human resources, or benefits administration.

• Process and manage payroll processes.
• Recruit and handle job postings.
• Handle all new hire onboarding of exmployees.
• Assist employees with benefits enrollment and general benefits information.
• Assist with HR reporting, audits, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, employee communications, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure consistent, professional, and confidential handling of employee information and HR processes.

• 2+ years of experience in payroll, HR, recruiting, benefits, or a related field preferred.
• Payroll processing and experience with payroll/HR systems required.
• Familiarity with recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, recurring deadlines, and confidential information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in HR, business, accounting, or related field preferred.
• Payroll or HR certification is a plus.
