The Information Technology Technician is a part‑time position that works no more than 19 hours per week. The role assists faculty and students in the use of instructional technology, helping administrators, faculty, and staff with computers, projectors, and other instructional devices. The technician maintains records of help requests, images, deploys, and decommissions devices, and supports web‑based software and computer technologies for instruction.

Salary: $15.19 per hour, not to exceed 19 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily operation of ITS, including answering telephone calls, creating and assigning help tickets, and ensuring ticket closure.
  • Provide assistance to administrators, faculty, staff members, and students with a variety of technology‑related issues.
  • Coordinate with ITS staff to maintain instructional technology and related equipment.
  • Image, configure, and deploy computers and other instructional devices to support faculty, staff, and student needs.
  • Decommission outdated or non‑functional devices in accordance with college policies, including proper data handling and disposal procedures.
  • Maintain and update ITS inventory systems to ensure accurate tracking of hardware, software, and instructional technology assets.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Qualifications
  • Six months of experience with MS Office is required.
  • Experience in customer service, technical support, or a helpdesk environment is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting techniques is preferred.
