Role Overview

As a Manager, SRE Engineer, you will actively engage in your engineering craft, taking a hands‑on approach to multiple high‑visibility projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering solutions that delight customers and users, while also driving tangible value for Deloitte’s business investments. You will leverage your extensive SRE engineering craftsmanship and advanced proficiency across multiple programming languages, SRE tools, and modern frameworks, consistently demonstrating your exemplary track record in maintaining production systems with high‑quality, modern observability practices, and SLAs.

The ideal candidate will be a role model and an engineering mentor, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and deploy advanced software solutions.

• Outcome-Driven Accountability: Owns and drives cost‑effective solutions for platform operations, focusing on stability, resilience, and automated optimizations to reduce maintenance costs and meet business KPIs.
• Technical Leadership and Advocacy: Champions modern SRE practices, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational standards. Responsible for requirement analysis, automation, integration, monitoring, and ongoing support.
• Engineering Craftsmanship: Hands‑on contributor who maintains system integrity, solves complex problems through automation and predictive analytics, engineers modern solutions, and drives operational excellence.
• Customer‑Centric Engineering: Develop lean engineering solutions through rapid, inexpensive experimentation to solve customer needs. Engage with customers and product teams to deliver the right solution for the product in the right way at the right time, quickly respond to incidents, and engage with stakeholders to deliver timely operational fixes.
• Incremental and Iterative Delivery: Exhibit a mindset that favors action and evidence over extensive planning. Utilize a lean‑forward approach to navigate complexity and uncertainty, delivering lean, supportable, and maintainable solutions.

• Advanced Technical Proficiency: Possess deep expertise in modern software engineering practices, SRE, Agile, Dev Sec Ops , and CI/CD, Observability, deployment techniques like Blue‑Green, Canary to minimize down‑time and enable A/B testing approaches, optimizing automation and supporting high‑quality outcomes throughout the product lifecycle.
• Domain Expertise: Quickly learns domain‑specific knowledge, translates business needs into operational plans, and drives operational discipline using metrics and root‑cause analysis.
• Effective Communication and Influence: Exhibit exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly and compellingly. Inspire and influence stakeholders at all levels through well‑structured arguments and trade‑offs supported by evidence, evaluations, and research. Create coherent narratives that align technical solutions with business objectives.
