Work you’ll doResponsible for implementation, management, cloud security and automation of the Gov Cloud for Deloitte GPS channel hosted in a Hub-and-Spoke model. The Cloud Engineer will work within the Deloitte Cloud Framework to implement security controls and collaborate with multiple internal engagement teams to gather technology requirements, define cloud architecture, implement policies and standards, ensure security, establish best practices, and deliver technical expertise in cloud management to meet engagement team expectations.
The role includes automating recurring tasks using scripting tools, providing suggestions for new technology solutions, and collaborating with Senior Leadership and multiple departments on major national Firm IT initiatives. May serve internal or external clients.
- Review proposed application/solution architecture for newly onboarded products.
- Ensure that all cloud solutions follow internally defined security and compliance controls.
- Create, implement, and assist in the development of scripts to automate everyday operations.
- Assist with major IT environment upgrades, enhancements, new functionality, capacities, performance, cost effectiveness, and business integrations.
- Analyze and resolve technology and end-user incidents during standard business hours or on-call rotations; monitor issue resolutions and collaborate with engagement teams and engineers to resolve and apply fixes. Identify root causes, document problems, and implement preventive measures.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives such as the ITS CTO annual project; plan and execute on major milestones.
- Provide input and recommendations on new potential technology solutions based on research and analysis.
- Maintain standard operating procedure documentation.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Participate in the on-call rotation providing 24x7 support.
- Hands-on experience providing day-to-day support for GCP services, including Compute Engine (VMs), Cloud Storage, IAM, and some Networking (firewall troubleshooting).

Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting IT Infrastructure environments.
- Implement security controls, enforce policies, and review proposed architectures for newly onboarded products to ensure compliance.
