A data modeler who will document and create key metadata for DCF's data architecture through reverse‑engineering models and analysis. The role requires application and data warehouse database modeling experience, with proficiency in ERWIN, Oracle PL/SQL, and metadata tools. The ideal candidate will develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models, assure compliance with standards, document metadata, translate technical data modeling terms for non‑technical audiences, recommend data maintenance strategies, design models for storage and query optimization, perform database analysis and troubleshooting, and assess data quality.
The project is funded through 12/31/26 with potential extension. Experience with Human Services is desirable.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for DCF data architecture, ensuring granularity and standards compliance.
- Document and define key metadata around database architecture.
- Translate technical aspects of data modeling into language that non‑technical users can understand.
- Make recommendations on data maintenance tactics for slowly changing dimensions and data roll‑off.
- Design models optimized for both storage (warehouse) and query/retrieval (end user marts).
- Perform analysis and testing of relational databases and investigate data load failures or retrieval issues.
