Role Description

This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Legal Secretary/Receptionist based in Dothan, AL. The ideal candidate will manage the front desk by greeting clients, answering calls, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence. Additional responsibilities include organizing and maintaining legal files, processing legal documents, assisting with case preparation by conducting research and preparing documentation, and providing administrative support to attorneys. The role requires ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in organizational and administrative tasks, including scheduling, file management, and handling correspondence
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, answering calls, and drafting legal documents
  • Attention to detail and ability to proofread legal and non‑legal documentation for accuracy
  • Prior experience or familiarity with legal terminology, processes, and document preparation
  • Proficient in using office software and tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in legal administration are a plus
  • Prior experience in a legal office or administrative setting is strongly preferred
