Overview
As a Senior Sourcing Specialist with American Family Insurance, you will act as the primary contact for the Marketing division. You will develop a sourcing project portfolio to help the department achieve its goals and serve as the project manager for the entire sourcing event, coordinating the expertise of other roles within the company. You will report to the Senior Manager, Souring & Procurement and may be hired at a senior or specialist level depending on experience.
Responsibilities- Define sourcing event scope and strategy; identify opportunities based on spend, value, risk, and capacity.
- Present goals, strategy, and project plan to sponsors and partners, secure approvals, and align resources to execute.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers, partnering with internal SMEs to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes aligned to organizational goals.
- Build strong relationships with assigned team leaders to understand goals and sourcing needs; serve as primary sourcing contact and liaison with suppliers to optimize relationships and resolve issues.
- Promote the value of strategic sourcing; provide leadership reporting on spend, project activity, risks, opportunities, and results.
- Evaluate competitive offerings by comparing bids across financial and qualitative factors; estimate timing of savings/value realization and recommend best overall value.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing for RFx, renewals, and new contracts, including project management oversight.
- Serve as contract SME for assigned suppliers; ensure compliance with approval processes and standards, and support contract management from award through completion.
- Demonstrated experience providing customer‑driven solutions, support, or service.
- Moderate knowledge of sourcing practices including RFx, contract negotiation, and market intelligence.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of supplier performance management techniques.
- Solid knowledge of advanced end‑to‑end strategic sourcing processes, practices, and tools for large, complex spend categories.
- Demonstrated experience leading small to medium projects.
- Solid knowledge of contract negotiation techniques and contract terms for goods and services.
- Solid knowledge of preparing reports, charts, and presentations.
- Knowledge of project management practices.
- Compensation Range: $80,000.00 - $ (salary)

Physical Requirements
- Travel: up to 10%.
- Physical: work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- New Employee Orientation will be held during the first week; sessions may be delivered virtually based on scheduling and availability.
