Retail & Store Manager, Operations Manager
Position Summary
Leads and develops teams by providing training, coaching, and feedback during store tours. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates to support store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads change efforts, provides clear expectations, and models exceptional customer service standards. Manages customer service initiatives and ensures complaints are resolved, driving a high‑quality customer experience.
Responsibilities- Drive financial performance by reviewing PL statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Oversee merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow and operational processes.
- Implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Hire, train, mentor, and develop hourly associates with clear expectations and recognition.
- Build and sustain high‑performing teams that embrace diversity and foster a culture of belonging.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and values; support Open Door Policy and ethical practices.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to communicate goals, measure progress, and identify improvement opportunities.
- 2 years of college education; or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Firearms‑specific background check and training if required.
- Current state issued Certificate of Eligibility for ammunition‑selling facilities if required.
- Completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership.
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
- Competitive base salary ($65,000–$100,000) plus performance‑based bonus awards.
