Maintenance Manager

Oversee the overall direction and leadership of the Maintenance Department and support the business with strategic and facility‑level insights, identifying priorities and recommending solutions. Manage maintenance budgets and strategy, champion Drax Safety Culture, and lead a team of up to 20 staff members.

Work closely with the Plant Manager and the Site Reliability Engineer to minimize downtime, track maintenance KPIs, and implement TPM standard methodologies.

Maintain a total productive maintenance approach, including small project management and P&L oversight. Manage the maintenance work process and personnel at the wood pellet facility, coordinate with Operations, execute work orders via CMMS, and ensure training and safety compliance.

Lead plant improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma tools (SMED, Kaizen, Kanban). Develop and implement reliability and maintenance policies, mentor staff, supervise workflow, and drive continuous improvement without compromising quality, safety or environmental standards.

At least 5–10 years of maintenance or related experience with responsibility for maintenance on assets.

Previous supervisory experience required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Basic computer skills; CMMS experience preferred.

High School Diploma required. B.S. Engineering or related certifications are a plus.
